During her customized tutoring sessions, she focuses on creating a stress-free environment where students' learning and writing styles are identified and respected. Her goal is to help them find their voice within that style while strengthening their English fundamentals, Basic Writing skills, Essay writing, and standardized tests' preparation.
Before starting SparroWriting, Mrs. B. worked 22 years as an English Instructor in the community college sector. She holds a M.Ed. degree in Adult Education, B.A. in English, Certification in Business Administration and various awards & recognitions. She has facilitated countless academic camps and workshops for K-12 students and adults. Additionally, she serves the community as a Writing Specialist for Collin Community College in Plano, Texas.
When Mrs. B. isn't seizing opportunities to teach someone SOMETHING, she is spending time with her husband, two sons, friends, and family members. She is a Christian, and enjoys motivating others to live life to the fullest!! She likes writing inspirational quotes, reading Spiritual, Realistic Fiction, Nonfiction books, painting, skating, researching different types of motorcycles (Fun Fact!!), watching NASCAR and going to the movies. More than anything, she believes children deserve to be taught in the way that helps them learn best and realizes THEIR way often differs from what the school system curriculum dictates.
